Balsama Oro - White Balsamic with Gold Leaf

Balsama Oro - finest quality white Balsamic with flakes of edible gold leaf. This balsamic vinegar is made from white wine vinegar and white grape must rather than the usual red grape giving it a deep golden colour which is accentuated by the shimmering flakes of gold. Very striking!

The Leonardi family has been producing balsamic vinegar in Modena for four generations. The century-long tradition requires Balsamic Vinegar to be produced in small wooden barrels, each one used for a specific process: acetification (vinegar making), maturation and ageing. In the attic of a 19th century farmhouse rest 2000 precious-wood barrels made of oak, chestnut, cherry, ash, locust tree, mulberry and juniper. Each of them gives its very special taste and aroma to the Leonardi Balsamic Vinegar during ageing. The taste is penetrating but pleasing and harmonious with pleasant smell.
