Cool Chile Co. Mayan Drinking Chocolate

A delicious spiced Mayan drinking chocolate from the Cool Chile Co who are based here in London. They use a pre Hispanic recipe for this drinking chocolate which is made by grinding cocoa nibs with unrefined sugar, ancho chile, annatto and spices. Slightly spicy and warming.

Mexican chocolate can also be used in baking or to make chocolate sauces.

To make drinking chocolate: Add 2-3 tbs of the grated Maya chocolate to 200ml of milk or water. Heat gently in a pan, stirring regularily until the grated Maya chcocolate has melted. Whisk or blend to achieve a rich, foamy top.
