Frank Cooper's Oxford Marmalade - the coarse cut original.
In 1874, Sarah Jane, the wife of Oxford shopkeeper Frank Cooper, manufactured the first batch of Frank Cooper's marmalade to a recipe believed to have been her mother's. In 1903, to satisfy increasing demand, particularly amongst the Oxford dons and undergraduates, Frank Cooper opened a factory near the railway station in Oxford.
A jar of Frank Cooper's marmalade went to Antarctica with Scott and was subsequently found, many years later, buried in the ice. The Queen also enjoys Frank Cooper's at breakfast!
