Ground Nutmeg

Ground nutmeg. Nutmeg is the nut of the nutmeg tree. It comes from the same plant as mace: nutmeg is the 'nut', while mace is the lacy 'aril' that surrounds the nut. It adds a warm, spicy aroma and flavour in sweet and savoury cooking. Add to béchamel sauce, cheese sauces and lots of cakes, puddings and custards.mend

We would always recommend buying whole nutmeg and grating a little as needed in order to enjoy the full flavour of the nutmeg, however we know that some of you prefer to buy nutmeg ready-ground so here it is!
