La Mancha Saffron Stamens D.O.P. (1g)

Our D.O.P. saffron is from Albacete, La Mancha, and is produced by a family with three generations of experience in dealing with saffron. It is becoming increasingly rare to find Spanish saffron purely from Spain, mainly because it is so expensive to produce, with 250,000 flowers required to produce 1kg of saffron, all needing to be picked and the stamens separated by hand. The individually numbered D.O.P. seal certifies the origin of this saffron as being purely of top La Mancha grade.
