Olive Wood Pestle & Mortar

Olive Wood Pestle & Mortar - handmade in Tunisia from ancient Tunisian olive trees that have reached the end of their productive life. These pestle and mortars are all different and still bear the marks of their working. Easy to care for and very pleasant to use.

These are proper working items even though highly decorative too! The grain on these has to be seen to be appreciated and the wood is very tactile. Each one is coated with a little beeswax and this can easily be buffed up to give a shine or simply rub with a little olive oil.

Each one is different so sizes are not exact, average height is:  14cm.
