Thai (Vietnamese) Basil Seeds

Basil Seeds - traditionally used in Thai and Vietnamese cuisines for desserts and drinks.

To make a Thai Basil Seed Drink "Nam Manglak"

• Soak 5g of the Basil seed in 100ml of cold water for about 15 minutes.
• Warm 400ml water with 1 tbl honey and 2 tbls sugar, mix until the sugar has dissolved, allow to cool.
• Once at room temperature combine the sweet water, the basil seeds and 200ml rose water.
• Chill and serve over crushed ice
