Tortas de Aceite, Traditional (Sweet Spanish Olive Oil Biscuits with Aniseed)

Torta de Aceite are delicious, light and crispy traditional Spanish olive oil biscuits. With sugar and a hint of anise, they are a hugely moreish snack, and are an interesting alternative to crackers when eaten with cheese.

The Gavino family have been making these biscuits for over 100 years and their method of making has not changed over that time. The dough for each biscuit is shaped by hand so that no two biscuits look exactly the same.
