Valdeon Picos de Europa IGP

Valdeon Picos de Europa - from the high valleys of the Picos de Europa mountains in Leon, Spain. Semi-soft, unctuous melt-in-the-mouth texture, ivory white with blue-green veins. Sweet and sharp initial flavour with biscuity notes, nuts and pleasant spiciness. A strong Spanish blue cheese, but not overwhelming, salty but not overly 

Picos is matured for at least two months, and then wrapped in maple leaves. A pasteurised blue cheese made with mainly cows´ milk, and but tempered with goats´ milk in the summer months.
