Who We Are and What We Do
We are a London based family-owned independent food company. We originally started out as a small high street delicatessen in north London but then grew into an online business supplying customers throughout the UK and Europe. After outgrowing our high street shop we moved to a warehouse in north London, then in 2014 we expanded to east London before finally moving our warehouse operations to a much larger distribution centre which is now based in East Sussex.
We first opened our shop back in 2005 because we were frustrated by the lack of variety in supermarkets and local food shops and found that when we wanted to try out new recipes at home we struggled to find the ingredients we needed. Despite living in London this often meant travelling miles to track down a key item. Not easy when we worked full-time and had small children.
This original aim of our business remains the same today, 16 years later: to be a one-stop shop for hard-to-find ingredients and speciality food at sensible prices. With an ever expanding range which is now the largest range of speciality food ingredients available online in the UK we hope you feel that we are achieving this aim, but if you have any ideas please do let us know!
The vast majority of our customers are people like you who enjoy cooking at home for family and friends but struggle to find the ingredients they need in local shops and supermarkets.
We are also proud to supply many caterers, restaurants (including some of the finest Michelin starred restaurants in the UK), cookery schools and TV production companies. Testament, we feel, to the quality of our products and customer service!
Where We Are
We are based in central London but our warehouse and distribution operations are in East Sussex. We don't have a high street shop, so it isn't possible to visit us in person to browse products and/or buy or collect any items. However all of our products can be viewed and bought here on our website.
If you need to return an item or order to us please contact us for a Returns Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number and the return address for our warehouse.
We are not able to accept returned goods at our London office, this address is for general business correspondence only.
