Acquerello Rice 500g (Aged Carnaroli)
Acquerello Rice - this Aged Carnaroli Rice is considered to be the world's finest risotto rice and a favourite of the world's top chefs. Described as the "best rice in the world" by Heston Blumenthal.
This superfine carnaroli rice is grown by the Rondolino family on their Tenuta Torrone della Colombara Estate in Piedmont region of northern Italy on land that has been used for cultivating rice since the 16th century.
After harvesting, the unhusked Acquerello rice is aged for at least a year, then it is slowly refined and gently whitened using an exclusive slow method before being enriched with its own germ using a patented process. These steps of aging, refining and riching makes Acquerello tastier, richer and healthier.
The result is grains of rice that stay perfectly intact when cooked, and tastier as the rice doesn't lose starch, proteins or vitamins.
