Apricot Paste Sheets (Amar El Deen, Kamardin) - 400g
Sheets of Apricot Paste (Amar-El-Deen or Kamardin)- a very popular ingredient in Middle Eastern and Turkish cooking, particularly during Ramadan.
Apricots are dried and pureed then rolled into sheets and wrapped. Simply eat on their own as a chewy, fruity snack or use in desserts (famously for Moro's chocolate and apricot tart). The apricot paste can also be soaked in water to produce a thick apricot drink - even better with a few drops of rose water.
