Corn Husks for Tamales 100g (30-35 Husks)
Corn Husks for making Mexican Tamales. In Mexico corn husks are used as food wrappers - use for steaming tamales, fish or cochinita pibil or wrap delicate food such as prawns for the barbeque. These husks add a delicate but distinctive corn flavour to the food they are wrapped around.
To use simply soak in hot water for 15 minutes until the husk becomes pliable. Shake off the excess water and wrap your food into parcel shapes, tie the parcel with some torn corn husks then steam or barbeque.
Please note that these corn husks are sold by the weight but typically there are around 30-35 in each pack depending on the weight on the individual husks.
These corn husks are a natural product and haven't been bleached so the husks may have some imperfections or marks on them this does not affect them in any way. They are not for eating but for wrapping food.
