Maldon Smoked Sea Salt
Maldon smoked sea salt is pure and unique, made using only traditional natural methods. It adds an extra dimension for seasoning meat, fish and poultry, enhancing the natural flavours. Great on shellfish and meats, use in sauces, salsas, soups and marinades.
Made using traditional smoking methods to gently cold smoke the salt crystals, ensures a truly exciting taste. Its pronounced and distinctive 'salty' taste combined with a deliciously subtle smoky flavour, adds sophistication to your favourite dishes.
Maldon Salt is still produced by a small family run business. Operating out of the same traditional black Essex weather-board buildings as it did back in 1882, Maldon Salt remains an enduring symbol of English manufacturing. It is one of only a few family-run businesses with a global reputation and because Maldon Salt is still hand harvested in the traditional manner, there will always be a limit to the amount that can be produced. Frequently production is outstripped by demand as its popularity with chefs grows both here and abroad.
