Nilla Wafers (Nabisco), American
N.B. These Nilla Vanilla Wafers are not what we normally call wafer biscuits in the UK which can cause lots of confusion when following American recipes that call for vanilla wafers or sugar cookies. They are a sort of like super-thin and crispy shortbread-like biscuits. There isn't really anything similar in the UK. For some recipe ideas take a look HERE.
N.B. These cookies never have a very long shelf by the time they arrive in the UK by sea. Current stock has a best before (not use by) date of 15th April but because they are in heated sealed, foil bag inside the box they stay fresh for ages.
