Masoni Panforte Margherita - panforte is one of the most traditional of Italian sweets, particularly at Christmas and a speciality of Siena. Panforte's basic ingredients include fresh almonds, candied-fruits, spices and honey.
Panforte Margherita was made for the first time in 1879 to celebrate the visit of Queen Margherita to Siena to see the Palio.
Cut into small pieces and enjoy with a glass of dessert wine such as Vin Santo or a glass of Prosecco - one of our favourites!
