Potted Morcilla - ready to eat spreadable morcilla (Spanish black pudding) seasoned with aniseed, salt, cinnamon, black pepper, oregano, clove and cayenne. Use to make a range of tapas, as a stuffing or stir into scrambled eggs or stews or simply spread on to some crusty bread.
This artisan made potted morcilla is a traditional recipe from Jaén. It is usually produced during the cold months of winter when families used to join together for the "matanza" (slaughter of the pig). Made in the heart of Sierra Morena, on the edge of Andalusia and Castilla-La Mancha.
Store in a cool and dry place. Once opened, refrigerate and consume within 3 days.
