Scamorza, Smoked (Affumicata) - 350g
Smoked Scamorza - this cows' milk cheese is a traditional cheese from the Puglia (Apulia) region of Italy. When making the cheese, string is tied around the middle giving scamorza its traditional pear-like shape and then the scarmoza is hung to dry.
Scamorza is often used in dishes that require melted cheese, so is often used as an alternative to mozzarella, although scarmoza is firmer and drier than mozzarella and has a stronger flavour. Try in toasted panini or on top of a pizza.
N.B. As this scarmoza must be kept chilled it is only suitable for mainland UK delivery excluding off-shore islands, Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland
