Zatarain's Dirty Rice Mix
For more than 125 years, Zatarain’s products have been made in New Orleans by New Orleanians for New Orleanians. More than being experts on New Orleans food and flavor, they are a part of the city’s culture, and there products are a staple in Louisiana kitchens as well as the rest of the US.
Suggested Use:
1 pkg. Dirty Rice Mix
1 lb. beef mince
1 tbsp vegetable oil or olive oil (optional)
2 ½ cups water
Directions:
1. Brown the beef mince in a large saucepan. Drain any fat.
2. Stir in 2 ½ cups water, the packet of Dirty Rice Mix and 1 tbsp. oil into the saucepan until well blended.
3. Simmer for 25 minutes or until rice is tender.
4. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving.
