Zatarain's Gumbo Mix
For more than 125 years, Zatarain’s products have been made in New Orleans by New Orleanians for New Orleanians. More than being experts on New Orleans food and flavor, they are a part of the city’s culture, and there products are a staple in Louisiana kitchens as well as the rest of the US.
Suggested Use:
1. Mix 6 cups water and Gumbo Mix in 4-quart saucepan until well blended.
2. For Chicken or Sausage Gumbo: Stir in chicken or sausage. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 25 minutes or until rice is tender.
3. For Seafood Gumbo: Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 15 minutes. Stir in seafood. Cover and simmer 10 minutes longer or until rice is tender.
