Torrone Morbido (Soft Italian Nougat)
Torrone Morbido, Soft Italian Nougat - A festive favourite from Lombardy, this large bar of Torrone Morbido is a luxuriously soft Italian nougat made with honey, almonds, and hazelnuts.
According to local legend, torrone was first created in 1441 for the wedding of Francesco Sforza and Bianca Maria Visconti. The bride and groom were presented with a sweet made from honey, almonds, and egg white, shaped like the Torrazzo — the thirteenth‑century bell tower of Cremona Cathedral — from which the name torrone is thought to derive.
Also available in Torrone Friabile for those who prefer nougat with a crunchy texture.
