Fig Balsamic Vinegar (Condiment), Modena, Italy - Produced in Modena by Acetaia Reale, this fig‑infused balsamic condiment is crafted in the same way as IGP Balsamic Vinegar, yet offers a softer acidity and gentle sweetness. Made from carefully selected Trebbiano and Lambrusco Modenese grapes, the cooked must is aged in a succession of wooden barrels — oak, chestnut, cherry, ash, locust, mulberry, and juniper — each imparting its own subtle character.
The natural sweetness of ripe figs enriches the vinegar’s complex, velvety profile, making it perfect for drizzling over cheeses, roasted vegetables, grilled meats, or fresh salads. It also pairs beautifully with desserts such as panna cotta or vanilla ice cream. The Reale family have been perfecting their craft for four generations on their Campi Macri farm, overseeing every stage from grape harvest to ageing.
