Malloreddus, Traditional Sardinian Gnocchetti Sardi - Known as gnocchetti sardi, these small, conch‑shaped pasta shells are ridged on one side to hold generous amounts of sauce. A signature shape of Sardinian cuisine, malloreddus were once made by hand, rolling the dough over wicker baskets to create their distinctive texture.
Made from premium durum wheat semolina, they have a firm bite and a rustic charm that makes them perfect for hearty, flavour‑packed dishes. Traditionally served with a rich sausage, tomato, and saffron sauce, finished with plenty of grated pecorino, they’re equally delicious in baked casseroles or tossed with seasonal vegetables.
